Iress, a leading technology company, seeks an experienced Fund Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in preparing funds' financial accounts and activities for delivery to statutory bodies, adhering to legal, professional, and ethical standards.

We're looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong numeracy skills and experience in fund accounting or similar roles. You'll maintain the integrity of fund accounting records by ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and completed on time.

About the Role:

  • Prepare financial reports, including planning and liaison with auditors
  • Reconcile bank accounts, superannuation fund investment holdings, and general ledger accounts
  • Review and pay fees and premiums, manage daily unit prices, and reconcile unit holdings with custodians
  • Prepare Business Activity Statements, APRA reporting, and trustee reports
  • Examine current processes and recommend improvements

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in fund accounting or a similar role
  • Formal superannuation qualifications or willingness to complete RG-146 within 12 months
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as CA/CPA qualification
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience using spreadsheets and financial software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team
