About the Role



We are seeking an experienced Utilities Coordinator and Project Lead to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Utilities team, you will be responsible for leading projects across NSW, working on the design and relocation of utilities for major infrastructure projects.



As a Utilities Coordinator and Project Lead, you will have previous experience in coordinating the delivery of utilities, providing technical advice to project teams and clients. You will work collaboratively with all utilities authorities, lead projects from lodgements to completion, and design innovative solutions to meet client needs and community expectations.



Key Responsibilities




  • Coordinate and manage Utility Design teams
  • Work with all utilities authorities
  • Lead projects from lodgements to completion
  • Collaborate with clients to design innovative solutions
  • Data analysis, interpretation, and assessment to achieve project goals
  • Design coordination and submission of proposals
  • Attendance at project/client meetings and community consultation
  • Undertake field work and site inspections
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers


Qualifications and Experience




  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a utilities coordinator and/or WSC
  • Good understanding of utilities authorities' policies and procedures
  • Previous experience in project management on Sydney Water projects
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Experience in developing junior engineers
  • Understanding of relevant software (12D, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and MS packages)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid drivers' license with a willingness to local travel
