Job Description

Reporting to the Project Manager - Team Lead, this position will be responsible for delivering multiple, short program, quick turn-around projects. The key requirements include working with all relevant stakeholders, ensuring they are informed, engaged, and have appropriate expectations throughout the master project course.

The role will work within a team of Project Managers and a Project Coordinator, taking sole responsibility for the delivery of specific sites/projects, while working collaboratively to achieve the overall requirements for the NSW PMO Team.

This role is offered as a fixed-term contract until December 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake audits of sites to confirm buildability of the leads/opportunities identified from the Sales Team
  2. Compile site packs post-audit to assist the Sales Team in securing the lead and to be utilised for the site installation
  3. Provide project management oversight for each site, from inception to delivery
  4. Drive the wider project team, building and maintaining effective working relationships with technical professionals, project team members, and stakeholders, acting as a conduit between the project team and the day-to-day business
  5. Engage Contractors for the installation works, obtain quotes, finalise the Scope of Works, and manage the construction program during the build, including defect management
  6. Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to all key stakeholders, both internal and external
  7. Build a strong relationship with key stakeholders
  8. Ensure compliance with Planning pathways or meeting criteria where exempt, or otherwise obtain planning and building approvals required
  9. Participate in budget development and viability assessments
  10. Report to external stakeholders, keeping them well informed and reassured
  11. Manage the cost, schedule, resourcing, subcontractor deliverables, and technical performance of programs
  12. Obtaining site induction information required from contractors with a reduced impact on the program
  13. Supervise and coordinate work performed by external contractors to ensure they are working safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  14. Adept a pragmatic approach and high-level project management skills to manage multiple projects at different milestones at any one time
  15. Identify risks and issues and problem solve to maintain project programmes and accelerate programmes where required
  16. Carry out all necessary administration, coordination, and process functions in accordance with company guidelines and procedures, including implementing new processes where gaps are identified
  17. Investigate alternative measures and/or make recommendations to resolve site constraints
  18. Manage time effectively between travel requirements and desktop activities
  19. Timely site close-outs upon completion of installations, including completion photos, as-built documentation, defects, and certifications

Qualifications:

  1. Qualifications in Building and Construction and/or Project Management
  2. Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in a Project Management role
  3. A valid Australian driver's license and access to a vehicle
  4. Experience with internal and external stakeholder management and excellent interpersonal skills conducive to building effective relationships
  5. Experience confidently managing a variety of trades
  6. Experience with or similar PM tool desirable
  7. Experience with iAuditor/Safety Culture desirable
  8. Experience with CAD or similar desirable
