Claims Portfolio Manager

The Claims Portfolio Manager is a key role within the Claims Team at Tal Services Limited, responsible for providing strategic insights to optimize the claims portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Claims Portfolio Analysis: Utilize data analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement in the claims portfolio, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with the Claims Team to design and implement process improvements, ensuring efficient and effective claims management.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including the Life Insurance Code of Practice, Insurance Contracts Act, and Privacy Principles, to mitigate risk and maintain a strong reputation.
- Customer Service: Provide high-quality, accurate, and compliant work to customers, ensuring a positive experience and building trust in the company.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Team Manager and Technical Specialist to embed required changes within the team, promoting a culture of process improvement and best practice.
- Staying Up-to-Date: Maintain current knowledge of life insurance guidelines, processes, and policy changes to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Contribute to department and company projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3 years in Life Insurance claims management, with a focus on data-driven decision making and process optimization.
- Skills: Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and coach others.
- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Health, or Allied Health, with a Diploma or Cert IV in Life Insurance or equivalent.
