Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Claims Manager to join our team in Sydney. As a Claims Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a portfolio of claims, providing guidance and support to claims handlers, and ensuring that claims are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of claims, including financial lines, property, and liability losses and potential exposures.
- Provide guidance and support to claims handlers, including training and development.
- Ensure that claims are handled in a timely and efficient manner, in accordance with established guidelines and service standards.
- Collaborate with underwriters, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure that claims are handled in a way that meets the needs of all parties involved.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve claims handling processes and reduce claims costs.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to management on claims activity and performance.
- Contribute to the development of claims policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in claims management, preferably in a general insurance company.
- Strong knowledge of insurance laws and regulations in Australia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
