The role of Compliance Manager is a critical position within an organization. It involves embedding and enhancing regulatory compliance capability across the business.
This job supports the implementation of an organization's Compliance Strategy and standards, ensuring alignment with regulatory obligations and fostering a proactive risk culture.
You'll work closely with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, and other teams to provide expert advice on compliance matters, design effective controls, and monitor adherence to internal and external compliance requirements.
This role is instrumental in ensuring compliance is owned and managed at the source, strengthening the control environment, and driving continuous improvement in compliance practices.
You'll also contribute to risk assessments, support governance and training initiatives, and lead the implementation of remedial actions to uplift compliance maturity across the organization.
This is a leadership opportunity to mentor junior professionals and collaborate across departments to deliver best-practice compliance outcomes.
About You
You're a seasoned professional with deep expertise in regulatory frameworks and risk management, ideally within financial services.
You bring a strong understanding of regulatory bodies, such as APRA and ASIC, and have a proven track record in designing and implementing effective compliance controls.
Your analytical mindset and attention to detail enable you to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical solutions.
You're confident in conducting control gap assessments, compliance monitoring, and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
You're a clear and persuasive communicator, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Your ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver actionable insights makes you a trusted advisor within the business.
A bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field is essential, and professional certifications will be highly regarded.
Your experience with compliance monitoring tools and systems, along with your proficiency in Microsoft Office, will support your success in this role.
