Job Title: Compliance Manager - Risk Oversight

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the effective implementation of our Compliance Strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for embedding and enhancing regulatory compliance capability across our Divisions, supporting the development of BOQ Group's Compliance Framework, and fostering a proactive risk culture.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have deep expertise in regulatory frameworks and risk management, ideally within financial services. You should bring a strong understanding of APRA, ASIC, and other regulatory bodies, as well as a proven track record in designing and implementing effective compliance controls. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will enable you to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, business-aligned solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Embed and enhance regulatory compliance capability across our Divisions;
  • Support the development of BOQ Group's Compliance Framework;
  • Foster a proactive risk culture;
  • Provide pragmatic compliance advice and guidance to stakeholders;
  • Design and implement effective compliance controls;
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and outcomes;
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field;
  • Professional certifications such as AACI or ACI 10980NAT highly regarded;
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance or risk management;
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management principles;
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing effective compliance controls;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams;
