Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

A unique opportunity awaits a skilled occupational rehabilitation specialist to join our team and support the recovery and function of ADF personnel.

We deliver exceptional services across workplace health, injury management, and safety, with a focus on getting clients back to work and life. Our personal injury division provides services through federal and state-based compensation schemes and motor accident insurance.

  • We are looking for a specialist who can take a holistic approach to care, working within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in performing assessments, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments.
  • They will collaborate with stakeholders, including employees, medical specialists, and treatment providers.
  • The role involves working across ADF and DVA portfolios, supporting Veterans and current ADF members.

In this hybrid role, you will be required to work at HMAS Stirling in Garden Island, with some ability to work from home. Part-Time (from three days per week) may be considered.

To succeed:

  • You must have current unrestricted registration with a relevant professional body.
  • Tertiary qualifications in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, osteopathy, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, psychology, or social work are essential.
  • Clinical reasoning and the ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams are crucial.
  • Possession of occupational rehabilitation experience is highly regarded.
