Job Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to join our multidisciplinary team. As a civilian mental health practitioner, you will deliver essential clinical care to Australian Defence Force personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will work collaboratively with a diverse team within a health centre setting, providing comprehensive mental health support to military members.
  • Management of crisis presentations, risk assessment and risk management planning will be a key aspect of this role.
  • You will support ADF Members with their initial intake and assessment, adapting to their unique needs.
  • Case formulation and treatment planning will be critical in delivering effective care.
  • Programmatic treatment interventions, care coordination, and group psycho-education will also be part of your responsibilities.
Requirements
  • This role requires the highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • Candidates must hold current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the relevant governing body.
  • A minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in mental health is required, with recent participation in Continuous Professional Development activities.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification is necessary.
  • Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and national standards governing mental health practice is desirable.
