Alumni Programs Officer Role Overview

Beaumont People is partnering with a renowned school in the Inner West to support their search for an Alumni Programs Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative Advancement team.

The Alumni Programs Officer will provide logistical and administrative support for the College's friend-raising and fundraising activities. This role involves building and nurturing strong connections within the College community.

About the Role

The Alumni Programs Officer works closely with the Director of Advancement, Alumni & Community Engagement Officer, and Advancement Communications Officer.

Key Responsibilities

Alumni & Community Engagement

As a friendly and engaging point of contact, you will serve a diverse range of community stakeholders, including alumni, donors, parents, staff, and students.

Communications

You will coordinate communications for programs and events, and contribute content for e-newsletters and other materials as needed.

Events

Collaborate with the Director of Advancement and the Student Life Team to plan and execute Professional Development Program events throughout the year.

Supporting Fundraising Initiatives

Work alongside the Director of Advancement and the Advancement Team to support the College's fundraising programs and activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in the educational sector is preferable but not essential
  • Experience and understanding of philanthropy is desirable but not essential
  • Outstanding relationship management skills with the ability to develop effective relationships
  • Relevant university degree (Communications, Marketing, Business) or equivalent relevant experience and applicable qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to work well with staff at all levels
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofing skills with high attention to detail
  • Very good organisational and administrative skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of discretion and sensitivity
