About Our Team

Defence Member and Family Support (DMFS) provides a diverse range of programs and services to support Defence families in their daily lives. Our goal is to empower Commanders, Australian Defence Force members, and their families to manage the unique challenges of military life.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Family Liaison Officer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for engaging with Defence families, stakeholders, and the wider community to promote networking and collaboration.

  • You will work closely with our team to organise and facilitate social functions, events, and activities that foster connections between Defence families and the local community.
  • Using your creativity and initiative, you will develop innovative ways to promote and deliver DMFS programs and events, ensuring they meet the needs of Defence families.
  • As a liaison officer, you will provide information and advice on local community resources and services, helping Defence families navigate the complex support network.
  • You will participate in Command and Unit facilitated events, functions, and projects, contributing to the well-being of Defence families.
  • To excel in this role, you must have strong stakeholder engagement skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate excellent communication and event planning skills.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from $76,277 to $83,274 per annum, plus up to 15.4% Superannuation. You will also enjoy a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and a dynamic work environment.
