Junior Sous Chef Job Opportunity

Are you a culinary professional looking for a challenging and rewarding role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at Pullman Sydney Olympic Park.

About the Role

The successful candidate will assist the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in the supervision of the kitchen chefs, cooks, and stewarding team. This includes managing food preparation and production to deliver innovative and inspired dishes that exceed guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our guests and align with our culinary vision.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety, adhering to HACCP guidelines and regulations.
  • Lead by example, promoting a positive and supportive team culture within the kitchen.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a hotel setting.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving business results.
  • A relevant trade qualification and/or food safety certification.
