Rail Infrastructure Operations Specialist

Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rail Safety Supervisor to join our Rail Operations team based in Seven Hills, NSW. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the allocation and rostering of safeworking resources, methodologies, rail planning, isolations, scheduling of work trains, and midweek train management to ensure our teams deliver works for clients safely.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with Safety Management Systems.
- Manage Rail Safety practices and implementation of Rail Safety Plans, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct onsite activities and targeted reporting to manage rail safety risks associated with project works.
- Lead and provide advice on all matters relating to rail safety management and investigating incidents.
- Implement and close out actions following an incident or negative observation.
- Review safe working arrangements for Protection Officers and LOR work trains throughout the East Coast of Australia.
- Conduct regular rail safety compliance inspections and high-risk audits in line with the scope of works using appropriate systems and procedure tools.
- Understand and interpret RIM requirements and develop training for workers.
- Certificate IV OHS and/or working towards Diploma OHS, Certificate in Risk Management.
- Demonstrated 5+ years experience in managing safeworking for worksites and projects within a high-risk rail construction environment.
- Experience working with multiple RIMS and implementing their different requirements.
- Experience as a Safe Working Level 1 within Sydney Trains and ARTC Networks.
- Experience requesting High Voltage Isolations and arranging qualified external staff to isolate and issue authorities to work.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a pool of workers to achieve business outcomes.
