Job Overview
As a Rail Labourer at Laing O'Rourke, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our rail infrastructure. This position offers great career prospects and opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Removing and replacing worn and damaged rails, sleepers, and switches.
- Spotting machinery and mobile plant, such as excavators and rollers.
- Using powered hand tools and equipment.
- Sites clean-up, clearing debris and manual handling.
- Demonstrate ability to perform duties maintaining high standards in both safety and quality.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised and within a team.
- Demonstrate experience working in the rail construction industry.
- Hold a valid Construction Induction (White Card) & Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card.
- Valid Drivers Licence Class 'C' or 'HR'.
- Ability to pass a CAT3 medical, comprehensive functional, and Drug & Alcohol Screening.
- Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure required.
Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
