About the Role

As a Civil Engineer - Rail Infrastructure Specialist at AECOM, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of rail infrastructure projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions that meet project requirements and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the planning, design, and delivery of rail infrastructure projects, including track design, earthworks, drainage, and civil structures
Conduct technical analysis and design calculations, ensuring compliance with Australian rail standards and safety regulations
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
Support project management activities such as cost estimation, risk management, and scheduling

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
5 plus years of experience as a Civil Engineer- Rail
Proven experience in rail infrastructure projects is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of railway design principles, including track alignment, grading, and civil works
Familiarity with relevant Australian rail standards and engineering codes
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
