Job Opportunity: Strategic Financial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial Manager to join our team.

The role involves providing expert financial guidance and support to division leaders, enabling them to effectively manage capital and operating budgets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing financial plans to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial reports to senior leadership.
  • Providing advice on current and forecast financial performance and position of the Division.
  • Maintaining reporting on contractors, funding sources, and expenditure.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights. You should be proficient in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need excellent stakeholder management, engagement, and communication skills. You must be able to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including department leaders and other teams.

Australian Citizenship or in the process of obtaining it is required, as well as the ability to hold and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
