The Organisation

You would be working for one of Australia's largest government departments. They are seeking to onboard an APS 4 or 5 Finance Business Partner on an initial 6-month non-ongoing contract, with a view for extension.

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Assisting to provide strategic and operational financial advice to management and the CFO.">
  • Working with stakeholders to link financial activities to their business plans and priorities.">
  • Providing financial information and advice to support the preparation of reporting obligations, briefs, and audit activities.">
  • Building and maintaining professional working relationships with stakeholders to assist in achieving the department's outcomes and deliver on their strategic priorities.">
  • Assisting to provide financial performance information against agreed metrics with supporting value-add commentary.">

Requirements

Applicants should have Australian citizenship, baseline clearance and current police check, minimum of two years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the public sector, strong verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and advanced Excel skills.
