About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Operations Coordinator to join our team at Everyday Independence. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Data Management: Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial data in our Xero accounting system, including daily transactions and month-end reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to inform business decisions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial laws, regulations, and standards, including tax laws, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Financial Systems Administration: Administer and maintain our financial systems, including Xero, to ensure they are up-to-date, secure, and functioning correctly.
  • Financial Support: Provide financial support to other departments, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, as needed.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum degree qualification in finance or accounting.
  • Skills: Proficient use of Xero accounting system, high-level organizational and administrative skills, and ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a financial operations role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Personal Qualities: Highly developed interpersonal skills, ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information, and commitment to supporting the needs of people with a disability.
