Financial Reconciliation Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely bank and general ledger reconciliations within established service level agreements.
  • Ensure outstanding items are thoroughly reviewed, escalated, and resolved in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Review daily banking requirements for funds/schemes, including liquidity management, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor daily platform cash functions and reporting to maintain financial integrity.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met, and accurate reporting is provided to enable required control mechanisms.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure their integrity.
  • Develop and foster partnerships with key business areas to drive process improvements.
  • Perform ad hoc and additional functions as required to support the team.
Requirements:
  • Degree-qualified or high-level industry operational experience, preferably with a CA/CPA qualification or studying towards it.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience in the wealth management/financial services industry is desirable.
  • Experience working on the implementation of automation, simplification of processes, or regulatory changes is highly valued.
  • Investment expertise, maintaining an understanding of the asset management industry, superannuation industry, and different securities and financial products, is essential.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations is preferred.
