Job Title: Insurance Portfolio Manager

We are seeking an experienced insurance professional to manage a portfolio of clients with complex insurance needs. As an Insurance Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring their insurance and risk management needs are proactively identified, addressed, and regularly reviewed.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of client relationships to provide tailored insurance solutions that meet their unique needs.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders, including insurance markets and distribution partners, to support client outcomes and business objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on insurance products and services to clients, ensuring they have the right coverage for their specific risks.
  • Support the claims process by following up with internal teams or insurer claims officers to ensure timely and favourable settlements.
  • Foster a collaborative learning environment to support the growth of team members, sharing technical expertise and providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the growth of the business by identifying new opportunities and developing strategic plans to expand our client base.
Requirements:
  • Collaborate and take initiative to drive results in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with impact, using excellent verbal and written skills to build trust and influence outcomes with clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring compliance and quality standards are met in all aspects of your work.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to manage your own workload effectively, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in insurance broking within the financial services industry, with exposure to both Australian and international insurance markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products, including Industrial Special Risks (ISR) and General Liability lines, as well as a solid understanding of legislative obligations and claim processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to work effectively across key applications.
  • A Diploma of Insurance Broking or equivalent tertiary education is preferred but not essential.
