At Six Degrees Executive, we are seeking a skilled Payroll Operations Specialist to join our transformative HR team. This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional with 5 years of experience in end-to-end payroll functions to make a significant impact on our clients' businesses.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls operating under multiple enterprise agreements. This role involves managing full-cycle payroll processing, including new hires, terminations, and redundancies, as well as interpreting awards and applying company policies accurately.

  • Manage full-cycle payroll processing, including new hires, terminations, and redundancies.
  • Interpret awards and apply company policies accurately.
  • Conduct month-end processing and reconcile payroll accounts (superannuation, payroll tax, WorkCover).
  • Generate payroll reports and provide responsive service for payroll inquiries.
  • Maintain payroll and timekeeping systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Calculate bonuses, allowances, and ensure accurate wage and tax withholdings.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5 years' experience within an end-to-end payroll function.
  • Exposure to Micropay and other Payroll software's.
  • EBA/Award interpretation necessary.
  • A high level of attention to detail with proven level of quality and accuracy of work.
  • Proactive research, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • A true team player.
  • An intermediate level of Word and Excel.
