Payroll Operations Specialist

At Hudson Australia, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Operations Specialist to support our Payroll team in ensuring smooth payroll processes.
About the RoleThis is a full-time opportunity offering a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-payroll activities: Ensure accurate and timely processing for fortnightly and monthly pay cycles.
- Query Resolution: Respond to payroll-related inquiries and issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Coordination of Benefits: Assist in implementing employee benefits programs, promoting a positive work-life balance.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to identify and implement continuous improvements, staying updated on legislative changes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including People & Culture, Finance, Tax, and vendors.
Requirements:
- Essential: 1 year of experience in payroll or a related administrative role, with a strong understanding of payroll software and systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex information effectively.
- Flexible and enthusiastic attitude, with a team-first mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while prioritizing tasks and maintaining attention to detail.
- Desirable: Experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Workday, with a proven track record of success in payroll operations.
- Valid Police Check.
