Research and Development Manager Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive research and development manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and coordinating research and development activities within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, monitoring, organizing, conducting, and coordinating research and development activities.
  • Determining, implementing, and monitoring research and development strategies, policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Supporting policies and commercial development by leading research projects and coordinating research activities.
  • Assessing the benefits and monitoring the cost-effectiveness of research and development activities.
  • Collecting and analyzing research data in collaboration with service managers, community engagement managers, support workers, and participants according to NDIS policies and procedures.
  • Interpreting results of research projects and providing recommendations based on those results.
  • Providing advice on research and development options available in the organization, considering policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating with allied health workers and behavior practitioners during data collection activities.
  • Assessing risk and evaluating incident reports of participants.
  • Improving service delivery in all Australian regions serving under the Cocoon platform.
  • Developing plans and methodologies with the development of questionnaires to gain insights from participants about service delivery.
  • Decision-making by participants through access and planning and equity of provision of supports on participant outcomes.
  • Concluding improvements in services like psychotherapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy through monitoring and evaluation of data within the organization.
  • Monitoring leading-edge developments in relevant disciplines and assessing implications for the organization.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to critically analyze and synthesize new and complex information from diverse sources, including participant history and clinical diagnosis.
  • Experience working with persons living with disabilities, especially complex cases, is mandatory.
  • Analyzing and evaluating research data and improving service delivery across Australia.

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years' of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of the Disability Act (2016) or demonstrated commitment to acquire such knowledge quickly.
  • Demonstrated commitment to research activities.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a relevant field.
