Job Overview:

Murdoch Children's Research Institute is seeking an Orthopaedic Project Assistant to join their dedicated research team. As a key member of the Orthopaedics Research Group, you will play a vital role in supporting various project objectives and contributing to the improvement of orthopaedic care for children.

About the Role:

  • You will work closely with the Clinical Research Coordinator to support stream research teams.
  • Undertake administrative functions, including event coordination, stakeholder engagement, meeting minutes, and agendas.
  • Assist with participant recruitment, data collection for registries, and research projects.
  • Support research streams to conduct ethical research at the highest level of integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Support: Provide generalist administrative support to the Orthopaedics Research Group, including coordinating events, managing stakeholders, and preparing meeting materials.
  2. Data Management: Assist with data collection, entry, and management for various research projects and registries.
  3. Research Support: Collaborate with researchers to ensure high-quality, ethically sound research practices.
  4. Communication: Engage with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to foster trust and curiosity in research projects.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in a science-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office suite skills, Adobe PDF, and database management expertise.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
