Research and Development Manager Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Research and Development Manager to join our team at Cocoon SDA Care. As a Research and Development Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and coordinating research and development activities within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, monitor, organize, conduct, and coordinate research and development activities within the organization.
* Determine, implement, and monitor research and development strategies, policies, plans, and procedures.
* Support policies and commercial development leading research projects and coordinating research activities. Assess the benefits and monitor the cost-effectiveness of research and development activities.
* Collect and analyze research data in collaboration with service managers, community engagement managers, support workers, and participants according to NDIS policies and procedures.
* Interpret results of research projects and provide recommendations based on those results.
* Provide advice on research and development options available in the organization, considering policies and procedures.
* Coordinate with allied health workers and behavior practitioners during data collection activities.
* Assess risk and evaluate incident reports of participants.
* Play a role in improving service delivery in all Australian regions serving under the Cocoon platform.
* Develop plans and methodologies with the development of questionnaires to gain insights from participants about service delivery.
* Work on decision-making by participants, access, and planning, and equity of provision of supports on participant outcomes.
* Draw conclusions to improve services like psychotherapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy through monitoring and evaluation of data within the organization.
* Monitor leading-edge developments in relevant disciplines and assess implications for the organization.

Essential Skills:

* Ability to critically analyze and synthesize new and complex information from diverse sources, including participant history and clinical diagnosis.
* Experience in working with persons living with disabilities, especially complex cases, is mandatory.
* Analyzing and evaluating research data and improving service delivery across Australia.

Job Requirements:

* 2+ years of relevant experience
* Knowledge of the Disability Act (2016) (or demonstrated commitment to acquire such knowledge quickly)
* Demonstrated commitment to research activities
* A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a relevant field
