Job Summary
The NSW Government is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Aboriginal Forensic Mental Health Clinician to join our team at the Forensic Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering culturally responsive care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and cultural guidance to patients, families, and carers
- Work collaboratively with the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations sector
- Develop and implement culturally sensitive treatment plans
- Provide cultural advocacy and support to patients and their families
Requirements
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or related field
- Registration: Full Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Evidence of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
About the Role
The Forensic Hospital is a high-secure forensic mental health facility in New South Wales, operated by the NSW Government. Our team of medical, nursing, and allied health professionals provide specialist, therapeutic inpatient care for adults and adolescent forensic, correctional, and high-risk civil patients.
