Aboriginal Mental Health Specialist

The Women's and Children's Health Network is seeking a skilled Aboriginal Mental Health Specialist to join our team in the APY Lands. As a key member of our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team, you will be responsible for delivering programs and services that promote the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal children and young people.
Key responsibilities include contributing to the development and implementation of culturally responsive mental health programs, providing cultural advice and guidance to multidisciplinary staff, and supporting improvements in service quality and distribution across CAMHS and within the APY Lands team.
You will have the opportunity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary and interagency team context, collaborating with clinicians, community leaders, and other stakeholders to address the mental health and wellbeing needs of Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
We are seeking an individual with knowledge of the provision of social and emotional/mental health services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and their families. You will need to have demonstrated ability to promote and understand cultural safety within the APY IMoC team, as well as experience in engaging and establishing relationships with Aboriginal children and young people.
