We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team at the Women's and Children's Health Network.
About the OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for a clinician to work with children, adolescents, and their families who are experiencing mental health issues. As a CAMHS Clinician, you will be responsible for:
- Providing assessment, education, counseling, and group work to achieve optimal consumer care.
- Consulting and liaising with other professional disciplines and non-governmental organizations to support consumer care.
- Using clinical knowledge, skills, and experience to provide direction, support, orientation, and education to other staff members.
- Leading and participating in action research projects, quality improvement activities, and policy development within the practice setting.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- The relevant degree/registration/qualification for your respective discipline.
- Extensive clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with children, adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to work with individuals and families for positive mental health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines.
We offer a competitive salary package, including:
- A base salary ranging from $88,255 to $107,279 per annum, depending on classification and qualifications.
