We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team at the Women's and Children's Health Network in Port Augusta.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and their families to provide high-quality mental health services. As a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive assessment, education, counselling, and group work to promote optimal consumer care and achieve the best possible health and recovery outcomes.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address complex mental health issues and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Conducting mental health assessments and providing therapeutic interventions to support individuals and families in achieving positive mental health outcomes.
  • Participating in action research projects, quality improvement activities, and policy development to enhance practice settings and improve patient care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant degree or registration/qualification in a field such as psychology, social work, or nursing.
  • Extensive clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health, with a proven track record of working with complex cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
