Group Leader Acquisitions

About the Role
The NSW Crown Lands and Public Spaces is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Leader Acquisitions to lead and coordinate a professional and technical team in the acquisition and vesting of Crown land that promotes public interest and creates significant economic benefit to the State.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multi-skilled team in discussions, negotiations, and contractual documentation to support Acquiring Authorities in the acquisition of Crown land for state and other infrastructure programs, and ensure compliance with applicable standards, Acts, and Treasurer's Directions.
- Coordinate with legal to manage and deliver vesting and escheats for Crown Lands.
- Lead the management and assessment of requests that come in from other parts of the Department or other NSW Government agencies requiring information and/or action from Crown Lands to coordinate responses with internal SMEs and negotiate action and outcomes while considering internal and external impacts.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in either Business, Commerce, Law, Property, Conveyancing and/or equivalent level of industry knowledge and experience.
- Current drivers' licence and willingness to travel.
