About the Role

Cubic, a global leader in transportation technology, seeks a seasoned Senior Director Business Development to drive growth in the Asia Pacific region. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this key role will partner with the APAC General Manager to develop and execute comprehensive market strategies, identify new business opportunities, and expand market presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement regional growth strategies to achieve bookings, revenue, and profit targets
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market presence
  • Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and competitor activity to inform growth strategies
  • Build and establish strong internal and external partnerships to improve Cubic's reputation in the market
  • Oversee business development activities aligned to the annual operating plan and strategic plan
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies, and develop sales plans to meet revenue targets
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to segment regional markets and create effective marketing campaigns
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote Cubic and foster relationships
  • Ensure the CRM system is maintained and up to date
Requirements
  • University degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Twelve years of sales management experience in global marketing/business development, and strategic planning
  • Proven track record in delivering revenue growth and closing business deals
  • Strategic thinker with a results-orientated mindset and strong negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, trends, and competitive landscape
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
