Senior Finance Transformation Lead

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to spearhead finance transformation initiatives in a leading global firm. As a Senior Finance Transformation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving clients towards future-ready finance operating models.

You will lead cross-functional teams to design and implement strategic, operational, and digital finance solutions, supporting enterprise performance improvement and driving technology-led transformation.

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of finance innovation in a world-renowned professional services organization.

You will work across diverse industries, applying your technical and leadership skills to deliver lasting change and measurable outcomes for clients.

Due to the nature of work with government clients, Australian citizenship is required.

  • Lead complex finance transformation projects involving digital strategy, process optimization, future-state operating model design, and the implementation of enabling technologies such as ERP (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics etc), EPM, AI, RPA, and Power BI.
  • Inspire and guide high-performing teams by mentoring junior consultants, collaborating across service lines, and delivering integrated solutions that drive sustainable change.
  • Engage directly with CFOs and senior finance leaders to build trusted relationships, provide strategic insights, and support business development through proposal work, solution design, and thought leadership.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • 4–8 years of experience in finance transformation, consulting, or in-house finance roles, ideally within professional services, Big 4, or industry finance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of core finance functions (e.g. FP&A, record-to-report, order-to-cash), with hands-on experience in finance strategy, process improvement, and system implementations.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence with strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills; experience with tools like SAP, Microsoft, Blackline, or Tagetik is a plus.
