Randstad Senior Finance is seeking an Interim Finance Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new ERP system for a high-growth energy company in Melbourne. This is a 9-12 month contract role based in Richmond. Whilst the business does offer flexibility to occasionally work from home, the nature of this contract will require someone who is comfortable spending a majority of their time in the office.

The successful candidate will be the central point of contact for both the business and the implementation partner, ensuring a smooth transition from multiple platforms (Xero, MYOB and a significant number of excel spreadsheets) to a new Microsoft Dynamics Business Central ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the ERP Implementation: Spearhead the implementation of Dynamics Business Central, working closely with the implementation vendor partner.

Process Improvement: Analyse and redesign existing finance processes, moving from manual, Excel-based workflows to best-practice, system-driven solutions.

Stakeholder Management: Act as the key liaison between the vendor and internal business units, managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring project alignment.

Project Oversight: Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, including reviewing the statement of work and challenging deliverables.

Change Management: Drive internal change management, guiding finance teams through new processes and system adoption.

About You:

You are a qualified finance professional with a proven track record of managing a full ERP implementation, with a strong preference given to experience implementing Dynamics Business Central.

You have significant functional exposure to Dynamics Business Central from a finance perspective.

You have a deep understanding of how an ERP system impacts financial processes and workflows.

You are a natural leader with the ability manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of change, and you are ready to hit the ground running.
