About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Change Manager for a 6-month contract to lead the people-focused aspects of a significant Finance Transformation Program. This role is pivotal in ensuring our finance teams and wider business stakeholders successfully adopt new processes, systems, and structures. You will be responsible for minimizing disruption, mitigating resistance, and maximizing user engagement throughout the transition.

Working within the finance department, you will implement a comprehensive change management strategy. This includes conducting detailed stakeholder analyses and change impact assessments to understand the effects on people, processes, and systems, with a specific focus on areas like reporting uplift, process simplification, and new business partnering models. You will design and execute a clear communication plan, support training initiatives, and work with finance leadership and HR to define new roles and responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive change management strategy and plan tailored to a finance transformation.

  • Conduct detailed stakeholder analyses and change impact assessments focused on finance and business process changes.

  • Design and execute a communication plan that clearly articulates the 'why' behind the finance transformation.

  • Support the design and delivery of targeted training programs that build new capabilities within the finance function.

  • Partner with finance leaders and HR to ensure new organizational structures, roles, and responsibilities are clearly defined and communicated.

  • Proactively identify and address potential resistance to change within finance teams and business stakeholders.

  • Define and track key metrics to monitor user adoption and project success in the context of the transformation.

About you:

The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on change professional with a deep understanding of organizational change dynamics, specifically within a corporate finance environment.

  • Proven experience as a Change Manager leading finance transformation or business process transformation projects (e.g., ERP implementation, process simplification, shared services).

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels, from finance professionals to senior leadership.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of assessing change impact and developing effective mitigation plans.

  • Familiarity with finance and business processes, and the challenges of integrating new systems or structures.

  • A pragmatic, resilient, and adaptable approach to managing complex, time-sensitive projects.

  • Relevant certifications in Change Management (e.g., PROSCI) are a plus.
