Role Summary:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to airline passengers.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Service Officer to join our team at Sydney Airport. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will be responsible for providing check-in services to Rex passengers, managing reservations and ticket sales, and ensuring seamless passenger processing throughout their journey.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient and courteous check-in services to passengers, including handling baggage and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Manage reservation and ticket sales processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of passenger transactions.
  • Assist with pre-flight and post-flight duties, including editing flights and preparing sales reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth passenger flow and resolve any operational issues that may impact performance.
  • Process guest arrivals and departures, restock and maintain the lounge facilities, and provide assistance as required.
  • Support special needs customers, marshal passengers, and resolve damaged and lost baggage enquiries.
  • Comply with safety policies and standard operating procedures at all times.

Selection Criteria:

  • Prior experience in an airline customer service role is essential.
  • Hold a valid Aviation Security Identification Card and Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
  • Able to work flexible shifts, including early starts, evenings, and weekend shifts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with passengers and colleagues.
  • High computer literacy and proficiency in using SABRE and Departure Control System (DCS).
