About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team at BUMA Australia. In this role, you will use your human resources, stakeholder management, and leadership skills to deliver end-to-end employee lifecycle human resource services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing end-to-end HR support for the project, with a focus on supporting and coaching our leadership team on best practice employee engagement and people management processes
  • Providing advice to employees and leaders on the site's enterprise agreement, with opportunities to participate in EA negotiation processes
  • Supporting our team of recruiters with key recruitment activities, including candidate selection and onboarding
  • Using HR data strategically to inform critical site processes and support frontline supervisors and leaders with key business decisions and employee management
  • Participating in the project management team to embed the BUMA culture within the project, focusing on engagement and development of our people
  • Managing leave, absenteeism, performance management, and employee grievances
  • Contributing to the development, review, and evaluation of HR policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field such as Law or Psychology
  • Previous human resources experience in mining or heavy industry
  • Strong computer literacy, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to plan, organize, and resource effectively
  • Display a high level of initiative and the ability to influence outcomes through others
  • Effective people management and development experience and skills
  • Demonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behavior
