Opportunity Overview

As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will report directly to the Human Resources Manager and collaborate with key stakeholders to provide comprehensive HR guidance and services for a major project. This role is essential in supporting the operational needs of the project.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Engaging in a dynamic work environment, providing varied support within a collaborative team.
  2. Delivering advice, training, and coaching to operational teams throughout the employee lifecycle, covering areas such as compensation, employee engagement, policies, learning and development, and performance management.
  3. Leading conflict resolution efforts and managing disciplinary actions and investigations.
  4. Overseeing and supporting workplace injury management.
  5. Assisting the broader HR team in executing all HR and industrial relations activities for the project.
  6. Contributing to the development and implementation of effective people strategies and initiatives.
  7. Promoting community engagement, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
  8. Providing support to the Human Resources Manager as needed.
  9. Advocating for a values-driven approach to HR practices.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  2. Experience in human resources within the mining or heavy industry sectors.
  3. A relationship-focused approach to human resources.
  4. Proficient computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  6. A proven track record of building strong professional relationships and positively influencing others.
  7. Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  8. A positive attitude and a commitment to personal and professional growth in HR.
