Credit Management Specialist

This is a pivotal role in managing all facets of the credit function, supporting the refinement of credit policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Credit Professionals, providing strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring to achieve optimal credit management results.
  • Review processes and policies with Senior Business Leaders to implement improvements, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Collaborate with Business Performance Managers to enforce National Credit Policy and ensure compliance, minimizing risk exposure.
  • Oversight of outstanding debtors and continuous improvement of debtor collection processes, resulting in timely payments.
  • Proactive engagement with stakeholders to achieve monthly collection targets, fostering strong relationships.
  • Prepare and deliver timely and accurate reports to stakeholders for efficient debtor ledger management, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Invoice and statement distribution via bulk email, including effective management of exceptions.
  • Effective management of client disputes and repayment plans, resolving issues promptly.
  • Implement credit control policies, including the 'Stop Work Policy' for debts exceeding 90 days, maintaining a healthy cash flow.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar position within a professional services setting.
  • Intrinsic motivation and results-driven mindset, adept at building relationships across all levels, driving business growth.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Effective time management, organisational skills, and ability to work autonomously or collaboratively in a dynamic environment, prioritising tasks efficiently.
  • A relevant diploma or equivalent professional experience, demonstrating expertise in credit management.
