This is an exciting opportunity to work with RMIT University, a leading Australian institution known for its commitment to reconciliation and engagement with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. The Coordinator, Indigenous Outreach role is primarily responsible for designing innovative services and products, as well as implementing outreach and engagement programs within the Ngarara Willim Centre and RMIT.

The successful candidate will have strong community connectedness and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and organisations. They will also have experience advising and supporting community members to pursue their educational aspirations and goals, with an understanding of the educational challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples.

The role requires excellent project management skills, with the ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and deadlines, and possess a positive and proactive approach to problem solving. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to manage sensitive matters in a professional and culturally sensitive manner, with a strong understanding of professional boundaries and the judgement to refer issues to specialist service providers when appropriate.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. RMIT University offers a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
