Dynamic Event Coordinator

About the Role:
The Event Manager will be responsible for planning, executing and coordinating all events, internal functions and social events at Marriott Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement event concepts to exceed customer expectations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution
- Create detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets and vendor contracts
- Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual equipment and décor
- Ensure effective communication with clients, vendors and hotel staff
- Monitor and control event costs to achieve budget targets
- Conduct site inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in event management or a related field
- Proven track record of successfully planning and executing high-profile events
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of event planning software and technology
