Operational Risk Management Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk Management Leader to join our Second Line Operational Risk Team at Macquarie. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping our Operational Risk profiles and driving change in our Non-Financial Risk Management culture.
As a leader in our team, you will be responsible for providing oversight over new business initiatives, ensuring that material Operational Risks are identified and managed within our Cyber, Technology, Information Security, and Supplier Risk Team. You will also review and challenge the scope and outcome of business risk reporting, targeted assessments, significant incidents, key risk indications, project, and assurance activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight to our Operational Risk Team, ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated.
- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring that our business operations are resilient and adaptable.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvement to senior management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, risk managers, and regulatory bodies.
- Proven experience in Operational Risk Management, preferably in a Line 1 or Line 2 capacity.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to uncover hidden insights and form an independent view of the risk profile across the organization.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective risk management strategies.
