About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Risk Management Leader to join our team at The Star Ent Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing risk and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of risk management frameworks and policies.
- Identify and assess material risks and key controls to effectively mitigate risks within risk appetite.
- Support the development and design of controls according to Group Risk frameworks and assess the effectiveness of risk framework, policies, ICMs and SOPs to drive continuous improvement.
- Test controls and identify control improvements and support investigation of root cause of material incidents and issues.
- Provide a view of residual risk exposure, adherence to risk framework, policies, ICMs and SOPs as well as emerging trends or insights as applicable and relevant for The Star Ent Group.
- Provide risk and compliance training for key stakeholders across The Star Ent Group.
- Provide risk aggregation and reporting for The Star Ent Group, leading the content creation and agenda setting for The Star Ent Group Risk Committee and the risk components of The Star Ent Group Subsidiary Board meetings.
- Manage a team of risk professionals supporting their professional development.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a risk management, governance or strategic role in a casino / gaming environment, financial institution, corporation or government agency.
- Strong understanding of relevant statutory compliance and reporting requirements and ability to effectively manage governance and stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated success in influencing, leading and managing others.
- Experience in design, implementation and management of risk and compliance management processes.
- Tertiary studies in a subject which requires a high level of critical analysis and independent research is desirable, e.g. Auditing, Business, Law, Economics, Accounting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including detailed reports and presentations.
