Dams Structural Design Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Dams Structural Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Dam Engineering group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural design solutions for dams and related infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop conceptual and detailed designs for dams and their structural components
  • Analyze and review dam structures, including concrete dams, spillways, and appurtenant structures
  • Inspect and investigate existing dams, assessing their condition and providing recommendations for repair or replacement
  • Support construction teams with inspection services, quality control evaluation, and reporting
  • Prepare tenders and proposals, and provide mentoring and training to junior staff members
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated capability in structural design, including the preparation of design reports, drawings, and specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive attitude, with a willingness to innovate, collaborate, and grow
  • Experience working in the dam industry is highly desirable
