We are currently seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Australia, working on high-profile dam projects across the country. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of these projects.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical design, including preparation of detailed design reports, drawings and specifications. They will also possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to develop and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and local industry partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing mechanical engineering designs for dam operations and equipment integration
  • Conducting inspections, investigations and condition assessments of existing dams
  • Providing construction support services, including inspection of works, evaluation of quality control and quality assurance data, and construction reporting
  • Preparing tenders and proposals, as well as providing mentoring and guidance to junior team members

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated capability in mechanical design, including the preparation of detailed design reports, design drawings and specifications, ideally within the dam industry
  • A positive attitude and ability to see challenges as opportunities to innovate, collaborate and grow
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to develop and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and local industry partners
  • Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
