We are currently seeking experienced water engineers to join our Planning and Asset Management Team. These roles offer the chance to contribute to water infrastructure projects in Australia and New Zealand, primarily based in Newcastle or Sydney.

The roles focus on dam safety management and water resources projects, including dam safety systems, risk assessments, hydrology studies, and water resource planning. There will be opportunities to collaborate across offices and with broader teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for :

  • Delivering dam safety and water resources projects, including safety management systems, reviews, risk assessments, dambreak analyses, hydrology, and water planning studies.
  • Promoting work sharing and ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Understanding client standards and providing reliable client service.
  • Contributing to proposals and project delivery initiatives.

About you

You are a technically qualified professional with a successful track record in dam safety and water projects, preferably in consulting. You have excellent communication skills, experience working in multidisciplinary teams, and a passion for mentoring others.

Proficiency in hydraulic, hydrologic, structural, geotechnical, and GIS software related to dam safety and water modeling is highly regarded.

Other ideal skills include :

  • Qualifications in civil engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with bulk water infrastructure, dams, pipelines, and stormwater systems.
  • Experience with dam inspections, instrumentation data, and risk management.
  • Ability to manage small to medium projects and work safely within HSEQ systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Preferred candidates will have at least five years' experience in hydrology/hydraulics modeling, structural/hydraulic design, or dam safety/risk management, ideally in NSW.

The position can be full-time or part-time, depending on your needs.
