About the Role- This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across various industries.
- The successful candidate will have expertise in dam design, geotechnical analysis, and tailing deposition modeling.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Civil/Geotechnical/Tailings Dam Design: Develop comprehensive designs for civil, geotechnical, and tailings dams.
- Geotechnical Analyses: Conduct detailed geotechnical analyses using specialized software packages.
- Tailing Deposition Modeling (Muk3D): Understand and apply tailing deposition modeling techniques to optimize dam performance.
- Geotechnical and Environmental Site Characterization: Investigate and characterize site conditions to inform dam design decisions.
- Instrumentation Monitoring Systems: Design and manage instrumentation systems to monitor dam performance and environmental impacts.
- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced Degree: An advanced degree in civil, geotechnical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional Registration: Professional registration is not essential but is considered desirable.
- Engineer of Record: The ability to function as an engineer of record is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of directly relevant experience in a consulting environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in geotechnical engineering software.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and writing skills, be able to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, and have a strong understanding of project management principles.
