A Principal Geotechnical Engineer is needed to support current portfolio of projects in Sydney. The role involves leading geotechnical designs for surface and underground structures, analysing and preparing recommendations and reports, and working closely with teams to deliver design solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in geotechnical investigation analysis and design, be a chartered engineer, and hold excellent report writing skills and interpersonal and technical abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage geotechnical designs for surface and underground structures.
  • Analyse and prepare recommendations and reports for projects relating to geotechnical interpretation, foundation design, slope stability, dams and other geotechnical related aspects.
  • Work closely and co-ordinate with teams in Australia and overseas to deliver design solutions.
  • Understand materials testing objectives to support geotechnical investigation and design recommendations.
  • Be able to lead and manage project tenders and cost estimates.
  • Train and mentor all levels of team members.
