Project Delivery Specialist

About the Position:

  • The role plays a key part in delivering community infrastructure projects across Ballarat.

In this position, you will oversee project planning, procurement, and execution to achieve balanced outcomes on behalf of the organisation and local community.

You will report directly to the Manager Project Delivery and be responsible for coordinating community infrastructure within the Major Projects business unit, in the Infrastructure division.

About You:

  • We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Project Delivery Specialist with prior experience in managing community infrastructure projects or site construction supervision roles.

To succeed in this opportunity, you will demonstrate your ability to plan and prioritise projects within set timelines and collaborate with stakeholders and contractors to deliver desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver community infrastructure projects within agreed timelines and quality standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Manage consultants and contractors to ensure project delivery meets organisational requirements.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or extensive experience in the construction industry as a project manager or contract supervisor.
  • Experience in architectural design, construction, or refurbishment of community infrastructure as a project manager or site supervisor.
  • Recent experience liaising and managing contractors, particularly regarding quality assurance.
  • Experience interpreting drawings and plans.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to the position.
