Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Recruitment Manager to join our team at WHSmith. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and executing the talent acquisition strategy that aligns with group talent strategy.

About You

The successful candidate will have a strong background in recruitment, preferably in the retail sector, and experience in developing and executing sourcing strategies. You will also possess excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in using Microsoft suite of programs.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, screening, interviews, and offer processes.
  • Lead recruitment activities across the Store Network, providing support and coaching to onsite leadership teams.
  • Oversee the full recruitment process for the Support Office, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
Sourcing & Attraction

You will develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract high-calibre candidates, conduct market mapping and build talent pools for key positions. Additionally, you will enhance our employer brand through compelling job advertisements and engaging content.
