Public Sector People (PSP) is currently seeking a highly skilled Strategic Recruitment Expert to join a Local Government on a short-term, temporary basis. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional talent acquisition expertise and a proven track record of implementing effective recruitment strategies.

The successful applicant will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering tailored talent acquisition programs that meet the needs of the Council. This will involve attraction, marketing, advertising, recruitment, and selection processes, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, Award, and policy guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to attract top talent, including the creation of job advertisements and interviewing processes.
  • Maintain and improve existing recruitment systems, ensuring seamless integration with e-recruitment functionality.
  • Educate and support hiring teams in utilizing e-recruitment modules effectively, promoting informed hiring decisions.
  • Shortlist and recommend candidates based on their skills, experience, and fit for the role.
  • Collaborate with Managers to provide expert advice on recruitment best practices, awards, and agency hires.

For this position, we require:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in end-to-end recruitment, including drafting job advertisements and interviewing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of HR policies and practices, with a focus on talent acquisition and its linkages to other practice areas.
  • Proven ability to work in high-volume cross-functional resourcing teams.
